does malware bytes conflict with kaspersky or windows anti malware?
by the way i have installed it and run a quick scan and it has found the following.
rogue.winantivirus, registry key, HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Micro...
what should i do? is this dangerous or is it something that should be on the pc?0 -
What have you run - Malwarebytes, is so you can delete all it finds.
Can you post the log it produced?0 -
this cleared the winweb virus for me,it also found some other infections that the anti-malwere never found.thanks reluctant spender.Reluctant_spender wrote: »WinWeb is a fairly new rogue programme so a lot of the security companies are currently on the back foot.
Malwarebytes as listed above is trying to tackle the problem as in Super AntiSpyware, available here - http://www.superantispyware.com/0 -

i'm too lazy to type it all out but here are the things that matter.
registry keys infected: 1
registry keys infected: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Ext\Stats\{b64f4a7c-97c9-11da-8bde-f66bad1e3f3a} (Rogue.WinAntivirus)
i was impatient and deleted it. i asked here because i didnt want to go and delete something that was actually ok. so i am, hoping someone isnt going to go and tell me it was ok. although my worry is what could it have done damage wise. i bought something online last night and i am now worried that my card details could have been pinched.
i am pretty annoyed that kaspersky didnt catch it as well. can anyone give me a basic dummies guide to the best settings to have with kaspersky because maybe i just havent got the settings right.
i have also now ran superantispyware and that has not found anything. so it looks like i am rid of it. super antispyware and malwarebytes wont clash with windows defender or kaspersky will they?0 -
You have not done any damage by deleting that registry entry.
Sorry I do not use Kaspersky so can't give you any advice in setting it up - the important thing to remember is update it regularly.
All the programmes listed will play nicely together, so no worries there0 -
Anti spyware might clash with Kaspersky if your using its 'resident shield'
I only use to scan my drives personally:idea:0 -
