I have used firefox for the last 4 or 5 years and find it excellent but over the last few months i have had big problems with it.
I am getting this on my main pc aswell as my laptop and the main issues are
Sometimes when i click a link inside webpage the page will not load up and i always need to close firefox down and restart it.
If i click some links it thinks its a download file and asks me to save it or open with a program.
I have unistalled it and reinstalled it but get the same on both computers so something is not right for it to happen on both machines.
I have the newest version installed. Anyone got any ideas what could be causing this?

I can't offer any advice regarding the problem but I was having a issue with Firefox the other week which was not solved by a simple reinstall.
To fix, I have to uninstall and then delete everything under the "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox" directory.
I would only do this if you have tried everything else and you know what you are doing - Be warned, this will delete everything! All bookmarks, passwords etc. unless you back them up elsewhere.0 -
There might be something screwed up in your profile!
I would suggest installing Mozbackup from here .. http://mozbackup.jasnapaka.com/ .. run it and backup your current settings.
Still using Mozbackup you can then create a new profile and import your previously saved settings into it!
That might sort it out .. worth trying anyway!0 -
