Probably a bit late on in the uni year now - but have you considered working for the university - helping out on open days or with their admissions process giving people tours? In my experience this kind of thing normally pays around £7.50 per hour - and they tend to round up a 30min departmental tour to a full hour. However this may be difficult with PGCE hours.
Tutoring is always a good idea - especially if you are good at maths - as you can charge around £20 per hour and work in evenings and at weekends, whatever suits you - however this suffers from the problems of being self employed.0 -
<-- student ambassador. pay is £7.31 an hour for me for giving tours etc. :T0

I have plenty of ideas but not all of them legal! The size of a glory hole in an open pit should not be greater than the cross-section of the haul trucks that dump into it. Otherwise, you are bound to lose a truck, sooner or later. Source: Sergio Cha
I'm sorry for the demon I've become but you should be sorry for the angel you are not.0 -
OH and I earnt money at variuos points during Uni by working shifts in the library, doing lab demonstrating, tutorials, exam invigilating, student support roles (such as note taking), psychology experiments and clinical trials. I also worked weekends. Online surveys don't pay a great deal but when you have no money, every little bit helps, esp. as you can do them when you have time. best of luck, cel x:staradmin:starmod: beware of geeks bearing .gifs...:starmod::staradmin:starmod: Whoever said "nothing is impossible" obviously never tried to nail jelly to a tree :starmod:0
