Me and boyfriend are flying back from a trip abroad on New Year's eve. We should be landing at Heathrow in the morning.
Does anyone have any tips for things to do in London on New Year's eve???We live in SE London. Despite living in London over 5 years this will be the first time EVER we will be in London for NY.
We don't want to do the Firework thing in Westminster.
What does everyone else living here do???

P.S. It has to be affordable - preferably no more than 50 quid pp

Hi, I also live in SE London. A few suggestions:
Blackheath: Either just go and have a mini pub crawl, busy everywhere but in most places you should be able to get in. Or, we did that one year, book a set dinner in the cactus pit, we went 2 years ago, 24.95 for 3 courses and free entry to their club downstairs and we also got a glass of champagne at midnight, good crowd and lots of fun, oh and the food is lots

Other suggestion, go on the train into town, get off at London Bridge and walk along the river towards westend, most pubs are free to get in, Doggetts has 3 floors, cheap drinks and is not too crowded0 -
Think of the couple of days in London as an extended holiday - full of foreigners and few English.0
