Never buy concert ticket from this company

Frontrow Promotions

A fews year i brought tickets from this company and never received them. I had paid over £340 for 2 tickets with my Egg Credit Card, so i thought i would be covered. I brought the tickets in December 05, the concert was in the following Sept (06) i received a confirmation e-mail stating i had brought the tickets and my credit card was debited.
In Sept i had to fly to Glasgow (2 flight costs £600) plus the hotel not to mention the added bits and pieces. On the day of the concert a courier was surpose to be delivering the tickets to the hotel. He never arrived....
I had been in contact with the company who asurred me he would be there. But he never showed. On the Monday after arriving back home i contacted the company who said there had been a mix up and they would send me a refund.
Today i am still waiting for my refund after going through CAB, Egg Credit Card and Trading Standards all have been as much help as a chocolate fireguard. All gave really good advice but have washed there hands into actually doing anything.

Please don't use this company and make the same costly mistake as i've made. In total i'm over £1500 out of pocket ..

If anyone can think of a way of getting my money back it would be much appreciated  .
  • I am sorry you have had problems with your ticket agency.
If it makes you feel any better I have just been done by 'theticketsite.co.uk.' I ordered and paid for 2 kings of leon tickets in september this year. The concert is on sunday the 7th Dec . I have pressed the company for a reply to confirm these tickets were on the way and was ignored until this morning, dec5th, when I received an email saying that they could not supply the tickets and were therefore refunding the money. We will see if that happens.
The problem is that I have arranged travel from the north of Scotland and also booked a hotel for the night total costs of about £240.00. Even if they refund the cost of the tickets what happens to the remainder of the expenses? How can a company sell tickets that they don't have? I have been in touch with trading standards who say they don't know about this company. They do now!
I believe these companies have a number of tickets that they get the punters to pay for, than they sell them at a higher price to other punters and maybe refund the cost to the people that paid for them originally; a good way to make money. Should this not be illegal?
Does anyone know if taking the company to the small claim court would work?
