i posted a while back saying they had entered a default on my credit rating even though we have proved we had paid the bill, well finally after 3 years they have admitted it was their fault sent an apology letter, and removed the default notice within 24 hours, but can we sue them for mal adminstration,??

You would need to demonstrate the effect of the default on you and your family. If you are suing for damages, you need to say what those damages are.
If it directly had a financial impact, BG should settle it out of court.0 -
How long ago was the default registered?
I remember you only posted about a month ago.

I doubt too much harm has been done in one month.
Well done on getting it removed, though I'm not sure why you waited for them to carry out the threat - I would have tried resolving the matter when I first became aware of the intention to apply a default rather than after it has been applied.
A court would always look to ensure that you acted reasonably and mitigated any losses before awarding you any compensation."Now to trolling as a concept. ....
