you need a cd ripper like, full instrcutions and help on the web site
http://www.audiograbber.com-us.net/
as Media player on win 98 does not have the CD rip facility
Once it is copied to your hard disk you can then use Windows Explorer ,
To open Windows Explorer, locate Windows Explorer on your Start menu and then click on it. Alternatively, hold down the Windows key and type e (Windows-e).
When you open Windows Explorer, the screen shown here will appear.the MP3 player will appear as an F drive or something on your list, if you cannot see it then unplug it and plug it back if and you should see it vanish from the listyou then need to locate where the MP3's are stored on your hard drive, highlight the one you wan to copy ot the MP3 player and then hold down the left mouse button and drag the mouse to where the MP3 player appears on the list screen above, when you release the mouse button it will copy to the MP3 playerEx forum ambassador

When you have eaten your rusk, visit this webpage which explains step by step how to convert your CD's into MP3 rip's
If you download dBpowerAMP Music Converter (dMC) using this link, it is not the very latest version but it is FREE.
:T
You then simply have to copy the MP3 files across to your new MP3 player.
:doh: Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
Many thanks for the help and advice.

If you plan on downloading music from the main UK music sites, make sure your MP3 player supports DRM, otherwise they won't play.
There are ways around it, but they will invariably give you poorer sound quality on downloaded music that isn't that great to begin with.Dave. :wave:0
