PS I can really feel where your coming from with all this....barclays were one of my biggest creditors back in march when I went BR they tried the exact same tactics as your seeing & no matter how many times the OR informed them still left my account open with DD's going backwards & forwards...funnily in one call quoted themselves as !"above the law" and "my bankruptcy means nothing to them"....in the end both the OR & me ended up meeting with trading standards & put in a formal complaint....took them 8mnths in all to close my account and at the time of my BR NO TIME WAS I LIABLE for any incurred account debts/costs etc..as fermi said you sign the rights away to that account when you go BR....feel free to PM me if I can help

  • right guys, i called my OR today,.

lovely lass.. (wonder if shes single :D haha )

anyway the crux of it was, she HAS informed them and theyve ignored it, as i said it showed no details of my BR on barclays system, she said she;d call them directly and inform them again, and send another formal letter to them,
i asked her about the direct debits, and told her when i was on the fone i demanded they be cancelled, because i feared i was going to be liabel for all these charges, she said i would not (if i was in her presence i believe id have kissed her feet), and not to worry about it as i hadnt intentionally "spent" anything as i havnt used my account since the BR.

i also asked about my rights if they still keep hassling me and my parents (they keep calling my parents asking if they know where i am, and when im going to pay, and even had the balls to suggest SHE pay something into the account. !!!!!!!s. shes 60 yrs old and definatly doesnt need the hassle in her happy retirement time..) my OR said if im contacted again im to inform them over the phone that i am bankrupt and this is harrassment, any letter im to keep for records, if they persist she said she'd inform the court im being harrassed and "restrain" them from contacting me.

    haha result!

i want to marry this girl..

i also asked what happens with my bank cards from the old accounts, as i still have them, but obv not used them,

she said send them to her, drop them in, or post them back to barclays..

as id rather cut off my own penis than deal with barclays i think i'll post them to her.

thanks for the reassurance and help guys..

this forum and the people in it have been invaluable to me so far, and have probably stopped me putting a noose round my neck and jumping off the (shared) landing in my block.
