Abbey overdraft matching

I recently switched my alliance & leicester current account to an abbey current account with 0% overdraft. I used their overdraft matching facility so i could have the same overdraft as my old account. They require a statement from your old account showing overdraft limit. I only got bank statements from my old account through the internet. Abbey are refusing to match my overdraft because the statement doesn't have my name on it, which isn't possible. They were also refusing any statement that was an online one. Any ideas what i can do? I have switched banks before and had overdraft matched. Abbey appear to be the most difficult. thank

For a fee of £5, A&L will send you a paper copy of a statement...

Take it as a sign and forget about Abbey, this will probably just be the first thing in a long line that will go wrong with them. Judging from these boards and the problems I've had with them they are hands down the least helpful, most incompetent bank ever! why anyone would want to switch to Abbey is just beyond me.0
