Grouting A Real Fire Surround

I have a real fire that is used occasionally. The cement between the fire brick and the surround panel has become dislodged and I wish to replace it. Is this ordinary cement or something special? If so what?

No you cant use normal cement, in fact it would be Dangerous to use.

Thanks for the info. Also I have a brass trim that is loose, what would be a suitable adhesive?
