software needed to capture .mvi screen images

I took my digital camera to my son's wedding in Canada and shot a few sequences in .mvi format of the bride and groom. Sadly the official wedding photographer has run off with the money and I now need to get some printed photos off my camera mini movies to make up some wedding photos for them.

The standard alt print screen commands give too small an image and lose resolution when I enlarge them. I have downloaded several trial versions of screen capture packages but none of them, so far, will capture images from the mvi format - they all expect the originals to be jpeg, or bmp or png etc. Similarly there are packages that will output .mvi from these formats or from other .mvi originals but not the other way round. .

Basically I want to run .mvis here on my PC (I am running latest version of XP and have plenty of capacity) and grab individual screens from the .mvi movies to print out as photos on my colour printer. Anyone done this or know of a good package which does. (Not too worried about editing, I have other photoshop type editing tools).:D

What resolution is the movie file? From what type of camera? I doubt it'll be very high (most are 320x240 or 640x480 - neither remotely high enough for a good 6x4 print, let alone anything larger!), so you just won't have the quality to enlarge or print, regardless of how you capture the still from the movie.

It is a Canon Powershot A540 and it was set on 640x480 so you are right that I shall not be able to get anything larger than a 6x4 print. But they were standing still on the frames I shot (holding hands while saying their vows) and the wedding was outside and light was good, so I am hopeful I should be able to get something. If I can find the software to capture the frames.
