Probably it offers highest interest rate (6.5%) on the market. Has anyone got one? Is it a quite stable Building Society?

"the rate is guaranteed to be at least 0.50% higher than the Bank of England base rate"
You know exactly what is going to happen to your 6.5%!0 -
To be fair there's also a further guarantee of a 1% bonus well into 2010 unless you make lots of withdrawals.0

Yes indeed - it was still on their website long after Mrs Charlieboy's application was posted first class yesterday (3rd December) morning. Hopefully they will have received the application today, know that it must have been posted yesterday, and therefore accept it.
Time will tell, but applications had to be made by post and it would be very poor customer relations if they don't accept applications posted while the account was still being advertised.0 -
FWIW it now says "This account is closed for new applications":

Quite - but what is a "new" application and what an "old"? The Nottingham could take a leaf out of Kent Reliance's book - when the latter withdrew their 1 Year Fixed Rate Bond recently they put an announcement on the front page of their website explaining their cut-off procedures for applications that had already been initiated.0 -
