parcel net HELP!!!

please can anybody give me some advice?...i ordered a coat from Simply Be last Thursday and today i decided to use their delivery tracking device to see when it would be delivered....only to find out that the coat had already been delivered and signed for on Saturday at 5pm!!i rang Simply Be who said in their eyes it had already been delivered and i had to contact Parcel net.
I rang Parcel net and spoke to the courier who SWORE blind she had delivered it to myself and spoke to my partner and 2 boys (ummm i have 3 girls)....i asked what the signature said and she said it was just a scribble and couldn't read it....anyway i asked if i could see a copy of the signature and they said 'to be honest when people want to say something hasn't turned up, they sign for something and use a different name/signature'

they have either delivered it to the wrong address or the courier has swiped it, is there ANYTHING i can do to prove i have NOT taken delivery of the item??I've never had a problem with parcels before!!

I don't think you can prove the negative (i.e. that the delivery was NOT received). It is for them to prove that it was.

Ultimately, it is one person's word against yours...and your partner's.

Keep pushing it - I suspect they know they have wrongly delivered it.

Request a driver interview and they will retrace their steps on the delivery - it might be an honest mistake - "Drive" instead of "Street" etc...

We've had this a number of times with HDN. Signed for (signed for by the delivery driver!) parcels are often left in the garage of a house on a neighbouring road, with no card!
  • Chase the vendor of the coat, your contract is with them. The delivery company is their agent and any failure on their behalf is the problem of the vendor not you. Explain to the vendor it was not delivered and you expect it to be replaced, should they not comply explain that you will file a dispute with your credit card to reclaim the money. Them do exactly that.
