Sky are now doing half price line rental for 6 months (£5 per month) if you sign up to their Sky Talk with Line Rental product.

By coincidence I signed up just days before they sent me the letter with this offer. I must phone to see if I can take advantage of the offer.

But to get Sky Talk etc, you must take Sky Digital TV which costs a minimum of £204 a year.0

Yes, I know. Sorry it is really only of benefit to Sky subscribers.0 -
Sky Talk have been losing lots of cps customers due to the fact they dont allow customers to use 1280 any longer, and their expensive 0845 charges.I would not be surprised if they started to block 18185 /1899/ 18866 sooner or later to their line rental customers.0

This wouldn't matter too much if the caller does not want to ring 0870 nos etc. They could go for the £5 unlimited option and this would offset the £5 extra that they would otherwise have to pay for their broadband.
I cannot take advantage as I recently locked myself into BT for 12 months:o0 -

thanks for this. Am with BT at the moment for phone line rental but have the basic sky broadbacnd and 2 mixes for Sky TV. This is great, will be saving £6/ mont or so on phone line rental for next few months and it's still cheaper than BT phone line rental (£10.50 with ebilling.) Don't suppose anyone has any codes to make it even cheaper or whether there are any referral offers going.
Thanks0 -
Strangely I phoned sky yesterday to take advantage of this.
They have a new deal, 4 months free and £10 thereafter which is obviously a better deal.0 -
