Hi guys,
Wonder if you can help - we're after a cheap, decent TV - no digital/flat screen/dvd extras required, just a decent size - at least 28" =o)
Perhaps something like this?

I've searched the forums for some guidance but there's very little about standard TVs - are brands important nowadays and where can we go which is pretty cheap?
Thanx for your time!
Tom =o)

If you have a Tescos near you, it's worth checking in there. While I was shopping a couple of days ago, they had 28" TVs for about £150 (can't remember the make, I only noticed them because I thought the price was so cheap).
This may be an advantage over buying from the net. If there is a problem with it, you would be able to exchange it easier than using couriers to send it back to a website.How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

Argos are doing a Bush 28 inch widescreen (code 537/7305) for 199.99 and this includes a "free" DVD player, so you could always sell the DVD player for a few quid.
Prices for CRT televisions are tumbling as retailers are dumping them in favour of LCD TVs. The prices for LCD TVs are also dropping like stones.
Never buy new technology unless you have to. Wait a few years (or even months) and save a bundle.0
