Quite happy with my bundle though!

Argos will pay you to take away one of their free controllers, memory cards and just for good measure will stick in a free game too! All for UNDER £49.99!

P.S I think the games you can pick from are:
    The Incredibles - 567/7751
    Spiderman 2 - 567/6927
    Sonic Adventure 2 - 567/6934
    Sonic Heroes - 567/5760

Might be hard finding stock of the games though? I found a Mario Gamecube, Controller, Memory Card and Incredibles game in a store local to me. Not that much good since I bought one of these the other day on its own for £49.99 :(

Thanks for this post. I found a store near me with Spiderman 2 so I can get this deal. I'm glad I checked before I went to get the original order!

    Great stuff!

  • Hi All

The package does reserve on website but you'll have to pay for the controller.

The wife has just got back from ARGOS and the till charges

52.98 you get free game + free memory but the controller comes up on the till as 2.99 not -2.01 as it does when reserving. The store manager said that the till price cannot be changed and that 52.98 was the total cost.

She bought it anyway cause it's a storming deal.

Same happened to me in the Ellesmere Port store. The woman tried changing the price of the controller to £0.00p but it then charged full price for the Spiderman 2 game and memory card. Either way, I got one CRACKING deal, and I'm completely chuffed to bits.

    Thanks to the OP :D

i managed to get it overided by the manager but they just overode the whole total to 47.98 rather than try and change the amount of controller as this wouldnt work

To those people who have bought a GC, how loud would you say it is when accessing the disk? I'm asking because mine is loudish (IMO) when playing Spiderman 2 and I want to make sure there's nothing wrong with it before they run out of stock.

    Hi Dronegc,

Hard to quantify sound levels, but on mine, you can here the odd click and 'whir' noises, but they aren't that loud. I'd say Louder than a cd or dvd player - but not distracting.

    HTH,

    Keith

Cheers for that Keith. I've checked my GC's sound level when playing Spiderman 2 against another GC running the same game in my work (Game) and they are the same. Thankfully.

I love my GC. Its great. Mario Kart: Double Dash is addictive and Spiderman 2 isn't bad either.

One thing I really like is the fact that the disks are so small, meaning that they're not so easy to scratch. I was looking at some of the pre-owned GC games in work and none of them were scratched. The Xbox and PS2 games are easier to scratch, meaning that if you buy GC games second hand, they'll most probably be 'as new'.
