Hi all,
i currently pay BT line rental, but all my calls are automatically diverted to OneTel (Talk Talk). For this reason BT are now charging me a one off charge of £1.50 every month (they never used to in the past), without warning me in advance. Is it within their right to do so?
thanks for your time

Is the 1.50 for caller display?
Was free for a while, and still is if you make some chargable BT calls
Otherwise cancel Caller Display
BTW they did warn you and everyone else, it was well hidden in all the bumpf that comes from themEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -
IIRC, Talk Talk now supply those not taking their line rental via WCLI instead of CPS - hence the prefix 1280 will no longer work and subscribers cannot make calls via BT.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0

£1.75/month for Caller Display
£1/month for 1571
£1.50/month for "other than DD payment method"Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market.
