Gas Fire not on gas safety certificate

2 months to end on a rent day, I hope.
In the meantime don't use the fire!
Yes - Feb 8th but I'm trying to negotiate until end of Feb because I rang the LA beginning of November and asked if I could go on a rolling contract. He said yes so I fixed my house saving deposit until about the 10th Feb. I now have to decide whether to buy or move to another rented. boo though I didn't like living here at all.
The fire's been disconnected now so at least I was alive for them to serve my eviction notice!0 -
The letting agent just rang me - the LL has sold the house so I've been given my 2 months notice
You have to be given proper notice in written form - over the phone isn't enough. You need a s.21 notice (or, rather, the LL needs one!)...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

There will be more carbon monoxide in the ciggies to be honest. If there was a serious gas leak you probably would have blown the house up lighting a fag anyway so I wouldn't worry about it.DMP Mutual Support Thread member 244
