o2 free portable dvd player faulty

Sorry, i know this is probably not in the right place but i really wasnt sure where to put it. Did try searching for the original o2 thread but search didnt find it.
Anyway, im sure you all remember and some of you would have ordered the 02 x1 (maybe o2 xm something like that) where you got the free portable dvd player with it. Well i have a problem, the dvd player has died tonight and doesnt work. What im wondering is where do i stand with o2 regarding a replacement? It was a free gift i know, but had it not have come with the phone i wouldnt have ordered it. Am i entitled to a replacement or if not available then a refund to the value of, or are they in their rights to refuse anything?
