Aldi's latest Super 6 offerings, for just 39p each, are...

2.5kg Maris Piper potatoes
1kg Carrots
750g Brussells Sprouts
5 Lemons
750g Satsumas/Clementines
500g Parsnips

TOP MONEYSAVING TIP

Make your own Pot Noodles using a flower pot, sawdust and some old shoe laces. Pour in boiling water, stir then allow to stand for two minutes before taking one mouthful, and throwing away. Just like the real thing!

    parsnips carrotts and pots all keep for a while if you store somewhere cool, stock up now before prices jump up for the christmas shop :D

    have you tried in a box in the garage like you would store a bag of pots, I line a box with newspaper, remove carrots from any packaging and lay in box then cover again with newspaper, they last several weeks like this, I cant keep them indoors , like you they go off very quickly.
    Netted produce like fruit keeps very well like this as well.

    I remember one Xmas Eve when Sainsburys were selling carrier bags full of carrots for 10p !!!! I kept them in the garage and they lasted until March...a great bargain !

    I wondered if you cook them before freezing and do they need de-frosting before cooking. Also do they go soggy?
