I was tidying my 3 year olds bedroom today and found a money box my mum gave to him. It has a £2 coin in it as my mum always puts a coin in a purse/moneybox if she gives it as a present as she says it's good luck. She also says you should never empty it completely either.

Can I pinch that £2 and put £2 worth of shrapnel into his money box? or is that bad luck?

caroline 73 put the shrapnel in first then take out the coin? i didnt know it was bad luck though and i emptied my gold coin pot silver coin pot and copper coin pot completely today.
(btw that should put some £2 coins back into circulation as they went to the bank)
