Any Hair Dressers Out There - Hair Straighteners

The wife needs a new pair of hair straighteners and basically i am after some advice on what ones to buy.
The ones she has got do not get as good a result as the ones her hair dressser uses. The hair dresser uses 'corioliss C2'. Does anyone else have any advice or suggestions.
Have read on some web sites that 'salon' ones are better than the normal 'home' one ie babyliss etc.

My daughter, trainee hairdresser, has these straightners and they are very good, check out Sally's for a huge range of straightners.0

I am not a hairdresser but I swear by GHD's my hairdresser uses them too. Wouldnt be without them. I have really thick, quite messy wavy hair and they get my hair really smooth and sleek. hth0

My hairdresser uses ghd's - these are probably the best known hair straighteners & I'd love a ghd straigtener!!0

ghd's all the way - expensive but worth 10 cheaper pairs. I've had cheaper ones and regretted it.MANAGED TO CLEAR A 3K OVERDRAFT IN ONE FRUGAL, SUPER CHARGED MONEY EARNING MONTH!:j

I agree - GHD or the new VIBE straighteners are the best on the market at the minute. Check out ebay for good prices but be careful that they have good number of feeback first or pop into your local salon. Most salons including ours have straighteners on sale at the minute.
GHD are doing a lovely purple set with straighteners and hairdryer and a couple of other goodies I think in a gorgeous presentation pack. £150 or thereabouts. Straighteners on their own are about £130
Ebay is £140 for the purple or £100 for pink ones0 -
If you go on the GHD website the sell the normal black ones for £100.00 and free next day delivery. thats were I got mine from and you get a free bottle of heat protector spray for hair and a heat proof mat0

GHD are fab, & yes either get them from the website or if you are chummy with a hairdresser you can sometimes get them for cost. I wouldn't recommend getting them from ebay only because friend of mine ended up with a fake pair from there.Duct tape is like the force. Like Roxie has already said, a pair of GHDs is worth 10 cheap pairs. I bought mine 5 years ago and they are still as good as the day I got them.
My sister had a few cheaper pairs and within 18 months she was replacing them, she got some GHDs and problem solved.,___,

My hairdresser uses kudo straigtners and they are that good i now have a pair. It usually takes me along time to straighten my own hair. But these seems to do the trick.. They are no where near as expensive as GHds but in my hairdressers words every bit as good.
