Tuesday 2/12/08 What small dfw things have you done today???

:D When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.:D

Today I will:
  • check online banking done
  • move some spare cash to savings done
  • make a loaf in breadmaker
  • storecupboard lunch and tea
  • Start this years sealed pot challenge
Icy and frosty here this morning, roads are treacherous, will have to take DD to college not a bit safe for her on scooter this morning:rolleyes:

Have a good day everyone, hi to all the regulars:D , welcome to any new posters:D and (((hugs))) for all those feeling poorly or low:D

Got to run, catch up with you all later. xx

  • Morning sophiesmum and anyone who's beaten me to second! (Edit.... wooyay... I'm second :j)

It's snowing here in Sheffield... well it's white-over near my house but not a speck around work. Hopefully I can get home tonight and then get snowed in ;)

    Today I have/will:

    * Checked interweb banking... all sort of fine but payday on the 19th can't come soon enough!
    * Checked for surveys... none yet today. Will do them as they come in.
    * Leftover cottage pie for dinner, something equally as exciting but more importantly storecupboard for tea. No breakfast today... was too busy watching my cat being not very impressed at the snow :rotfl:
    * Have another NSD like yesterday.
    * Put some money in my sealed pot.
    * Get my OH to sign the forms to set-up joint savings with Natwest.
    * Stay toasty... it'll be straight home to put my sparkly pink bootie slippers on tonight!

    Woo... addition:

    * Lightspeed surveys have come through taking me over the magical £15 paypal limit... so I have claimed this :)

    Have a good day everyone!

  • Good morning everyone, it has really snowed here in lake district!!!!!!!!!! yippee!!!!!!!!!!:snow_grin seen as i live on top of a big hill and am surrounded by big hills, staying in today and ds1 not going to childminders.
