    Debt-free and Proud!
    Morning everyone,
Sue, hope I wasn't a bit premature on the last post! (gulps hard!) still got a sickly lappy, the virus has gone, but so have all the programmes from it, I have no sound card being recognised (?).

Nice to see you back Jordan, and what a goal you have for your seald pots, you lucky so and so, mind you saying that, I get seasick on the Mersey ferry, so I'd be no good on a cruise.

Stunty, I was stopped by 2 of your colleagues a couple of weeks back, the Mersey tunnel camera flagged my car up as having no insurance, they pulled me near to where you live, luckily my insurance company confirmed I was fully insured and payed up. I now have a piece of paper from one of the officers to confirm I have insurance for the next time the MID flags me up.

Good to see everyone else checking in and still putting their money away. Stay safe and keep saving everyone

Hiya sparky, whatever makes you think that? I thought it was a great idea and think it's good for folk to have an indication of what to do when the time comes. Yes, it'll need saying again as other members revisit the thread, but with over 700 members (!!!) it'll be a while before everyone knows anyway. I honestly thought it was great to announce it now. Is that what you meant or am I missing something? No rude comments to that...anyone... stifle em! :silenced:

    Well done Helen

don't worry Kerfuffle, a cent's better than no sense!

All the best for Thursday, as well as the pots all.

    Good morning everyone,
Looks like we're going to have to batten down the hatches in Liverpool, it's supposed to be very windy and wet here today , well I suppose a bit of rain will come in handy as we haven't seen it for a day or two .

It's gone quiet on here for a short while , I think Stunty and I will have to be making a few home visits to shake a few people up :D, who've gone AWOL.

Have a great day everyone, stay safe and keep saving those pennies :T

Since opening the 20p tin I've had to put my 20p's in an egg cup! I went to the card shop that usually sells the sealed tins but they only had a few grotty ones left. Then my friend and I found a lovely china cat shaped money box in the Cats Protection League shop. So my friend kindly bought it for me for my birthday at the beginning of September. I'll be calling it George as it looks like our cat but I'm not allowed it until 5th Sept. I'm going to seal up the bottom with superglue so I'm not temted to open it.

Thanks Sue UU for the suggestion of Poundland but unfortunately our nearest one is nearly an hours drive away which is a real pain.

  • Hi All,

Im still around but hiding as usual, got myself a lovely new man so have been spending lots of time on Skype (its freeeeee lol) and up visiting him so tinternet time is limited at the moment.

I had an emergency this week, i needed to get some money in the bank fast so opened up my tin to pay in £100 to last me the rest of the month and cover the bills while a friend gathered the cash to pay back a short term load. The next day she gave me the money owed so £100 of that went straight into the tin again so im still even. I also put an extra few pennies in there becuase i was feeling guiltiy.

It kinda shows how much better i am, the old me probably would have seen that £100 as free money and would have carried on spending :( but i didnt so yay.

Hope everyone is well and has better weather than us in miserable gloucestershire lol

    Puzzled

    xx
