    Debt-free and Proud!
I've decided to include my monthly payments in the PAD so today's is £58 to MBNA. I'll sort my change out later.

I love this PAD thing - it really helps you to get focussed and feel that you're actually doing something about the debt.

Thanks to whoever thought of it! :T

BLACK CAT OR ANYONE WHO KNOWS - Just wondered if someone can tell me what PAD is and how it works?

Been throwing odd coins into the glass jar but I've been having a lot of NSD's so not as much as usual going in.

Our money's going towards the mortgage at the end of the year.:j

A few pennies for me today into the whisky jar. Spent the evening at the hospital. Bloody car parks cost a fortune and the coffe there sucks. Bah!

A really warm welcome to the thread euronorris and amberowl28, lovely to meet you both! :D Enjoy yourselves here and have great fun saving! You'll find your very own numbers at the bottom of the list on post 2 of page 1. If you haven't already done so then read through posts 1 & 2 as it'll help you with any queries.

Thanks for the giggle scuba, you're quite right he should certainly know far better!!
Thanks a lot sparky, I guessed the weather it referred to, it was the 'hand behind you' that sounded odd, as though there was always someone creeping up to clobber you!!;) Have you seen the membership No?! You were right, we made it!!!:j
Why not spoil him for his birthday, make him his favourite meal, his favourite pudding, light candles, run a bath with bubbles, give him a massage and just really go out of your way to ... 'make his night' maybe even fulfil a fantasy or two? x

I agree with DaisyCM, euronorris, the abovesounds perfect to me. Also the new frame for a treasured photo is a great idea, both will make it a memorable 30th for him, you too if you hit on the right fantasies!!!! :kisses2: ;)

Hi TheBees, I'm fairly sure that PAD stands for Payment a Day so that folk can be encouraged to get out of debt quicker. If you don't get any more info, have a look around the board to see it, or put a search in for "PAD", I just can't recall whereabouts on the Forum it is.

I so agree with you about hospital parking stunty, it's absolutely scandalous!! They really shouldn't be making people with appointments or visiting patients pay so much money to do so. Mostly (so they say), they charge because of shoppers using the car park, but why not develop something (a pass or similar) those who need the spaces, and if you haven't been given or sent a pass THEN you pay!

Sue. New friends wishing to join us, please just ask and I'll be with you ASAP.
