Hey, Little Chicken, i know, i'm pretty disappointed my pottie is empty. It was just one of those things :o. But your right, i'll try to save a little something each day for the next 6 months. Still, it was nice while it lasted  and i'm glad to have joined this thread or i wouldn't have started saving in the 1st place :).

Well done on your ebay sales, hope you get your payments soon. I've only just started myself and have sold 1 item :j. Was pretty amazed anyone would want to buy my stuff! lol. What's the delay on receiving payments?

    Hey bigbum,
Not to worry hun, if you hadn't saved it, you would have been scraping around trying to find it, and at the end of the day, that's what it's there for, either Christmas or an emergency, because it was an emergency we wont make you sit next to reb and gettingbetter :D on the naughty step

Put your pots down and step away from them, they're there for Christmas or emergencies ;) don't get roped in by reb :p, she's dying to get you onto the naughty seat with her :rotfl:, I don't know, sue lets you off and you're encouraging others to be naughty :D

Have a great day everyone, stay safe & keep saving

    Morning Sparky :hello:

you're right, it did come in handy as an emergency fund. So happy i had saved it, instead of spending on cakes, chcocolate and heat magazine  :T.

Anyway, i hunted around the house and i'm happy to report i've £8.76 saved in my pottie now :T.

As lovely as Reb and Gettingbetter are, i don't really want to be on the naughty step :rotfl:, so i'll be saving something everyday and up-dating my siggy accordingly :p.

    Hope you're happily saving :T.

Have a great day all .

I'm not tempted, it has to be opened with a can opener anyway.
It holds £500 in £1 coins when full but I've stuffed quite a few notes in there too.
It's saving for a new bathroom or boiler... we haven't decided yet.

Every time my hubby comes in the house I frisk him for £1 and £2 coins.
I said "I'll have to get some tins for 50ps and 20ps!" He said "Bl00dy hell, I'll have nothing then, you'll squirrel the lot!"

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

Oh dear, starting from scratch as my pot is empty . Had to dip in to pay for bits and bobs.

So £2.00 from me today. Hope you're all doing better than i am :o

    Have a good evening

Well at least your pot can only get fuller!
It's amazing how fast they do fill up actually!

We have the £2 coin tin for each time we go to Center Parcs. It's our spending money while we're there, we go twice a year and usually end up with about £140 worth by the time I bank it all.

    Hey Linda,
Have you considered a turnstile at the front door, then you can charge your poor hubby every time he comes home :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I was telling a friend that we have the sealed pot, road change pot, the night out pot & the ISA, he said, what do you actually spend your money on, and I didn't have an answer, but it just goes to show, how much we used to waste

Made £7 from selling some computer stuff, but withdrew it as part of a £10 note from bank to make me save a bit more....... that's headed for holiday pot, the other two have to be content with the scraps of silver I throw in their direction today

Hi LC I had a really good day on Sunday on Ebay but luckily for me they all paid up really quickly. I am going to take Scubangels advice and wait till I have £50 then draw it out and put it in my pot.

I see Reb and Kas are off the naughty step What kind of chocolates do they have on there? are they Thorntons?

            I'm only asking!!!

            Take care everyone x LC2
