Hi everyone! It's really deep snow here - only about 2 inches at my house but at parent's in law's house its 10 inches!!!! It's great! My boss texted to say to ring her and she said that no one else from work can get to work so not to bother even trying to go. We went out for a rece and the roads round here are mad! We towed someone who was stuck though (he gave us £10 which was an unexpected surprise, what a generous man!), and saw loads of abandoned cars, someone skiing, people sledging, people out enjoying the snow. It was fab - probably a nightmare if you have to get anywhere but it was fun just driving and walking about in the snow.

I had a nice weekend away at my parent's house (they are on holiday) but it took 2 hours to get home instead of 45 mins! While we were there we went to Waitrose and spent some vouchers I was given by my colleagues when I left there to get married. They give you cash as change instead of more vouchers, so I bought about 4 things seperately so I could give them 4 vouchers and I got loads of change! I've left £5 in £1 coins in my purse for the rest of the week, the rest (I didn't count it, probably about £6+ quid in all kinds of coins) when in the pot! yay!
    Keep safe everyone

  • Well I opened up my tin to check for the rare 20p coins - and found out I only had 2 2008 coins in amongst over £100 of change :p

Neither were the undated version, so tin has been resealed and I have removed the shrapnel that was lurking erroneously in there and put it inthe shrapnel tin.

Have to say am very pleased with how much cash there is in there given I have only been saving in earnest for about 7 weeks!

Shan't be reopening it now until its full :o
  • We have about 4inches its still falling, hope i will be able to use the buses tomorrow as i have a job open day and it's the job that i have been trying for for ages. I put a lot of change into my pots the past couple of days. Have to go to work today mum has to give me a lift in. don't really want to go i really fancy a duvet day :D
    Still nothing i can do
Hope everyone is all well and good.

    Hi everyone.

Only 12p in my pot today, although I did put £7.00 in yesterday. My plan of action is to put £7 in at the beginning of the week and then on a daily basis, whatever I have in small change at the end of the day will go in too.

    My logic is......if I aim for £1 a day....thats £350 + until christmas. :T

Ooops.....forgot, also included a £5 voucher from Mr M.......that will also stay in there.
