I seem to have jinxed myself, I used to be really good at finding roadkill but since joining this I haven't found a penny! Unless this challenge is so big now that everyone else is beating me to it! :p

For the record, my 'sealed pot' is a piggy bank with big thick rimmed black specs on called Jarvis, I was on holiday about 13 years ago and they were giving away a pile of them for free in one of the little gift shops as they couldn't sell them, he is very cute and I think quite appropriate for MSE!

    Hi everyone.

Just 99p in for me today. Could have managed a bit more but went to the Boots 75% off sale and spent almost £20......but saved nearly £60, so can't complain. Have now started saving pressies for next xmas too.

I also have obsessions about my pot, and wonder how much is in. I can't see cos its a tin....I just have to keep my hands off the blinking thing......and not count it.

I think black tape is not strong enough to keep me out...........might have to review my security.?

Not a lot for me today but added a bit. Although you all seem to find massive amounts (I'm obviously not up to your standard yet - lol!) I found 6p today which I was rather proud of! Usually I'd have just left it and ignored it but I thought of you guys :D

No sealed pot action for me yet today  ...

On a positive note though I have managed another 30 lengths in the pool again today in just about 20 mins-ish:j

Going to go to the supermarket later today and instead of paying by debit card I am going to draw out the cash and pay with that...any change can then go in the pot! That's if there is any... never ending shopping list

  • I haven't put anything in my pot for ages, haven't left the house since friday, so no change or road kill! I'm so fed up with being ill, but at least it means I can't spend any money! And my hubby has been taking pity on me and bringing me chocolate!
Well done everyone with saving. I feel like my pot is a safety net, the bank may be empty, the credit card bill may be terrifying, but at least I have a few £'s to fall back on if absolutely necessary, although it is a completely last resort, and so far there is only about £8 in there!
    Night all.
