Been clunking slowly but surely over the xmas period. Had a few NSD but when I did go out and spend I used cash instead of cards.

Yesterday I got two shiney £2 coins and I didnt know whether to be happy or sad as its two big clunks for my sealed pot but £4 out of my entertainment budget for the month  . Decided long term gain short term pain was best so into the pot they went :D .

My current pot is getting rather heavy and full so need to start sorting out a new one - I have a couple of emty piggy banks and think I will use those to start with and see if I can manage on self restraint, as I'd rather do a couple more clunks than spend on more sealed pots - ooooh maybe this DFW is starting to kick in :rotfl:
  • Well my total for the past 2 days was 2 £2 coins (although I have to admit I got 3 and was naughty and spent one :o) and £1.60 in 20ps along with another load of shrapnel for the 5p and under tin :D

No roadkill either - although my daughter did find a £1 coin in the supermarket car park. Was gutted I missed that :rotfl:

Hello! Is it too late to join? I 'sort' of did this last year - but dipped into my pots as and when required (no not just because I was in desperate need of chocolate), but for late notice children's parties and things like Children in Need - but it felt good being able to do it. I emptied the left overs and put it in the bank, so now have £23.97 saved as a start and I plan to empty my 'jam jar' when full and bank it so the bank has to pay me some interest! Can I join or because I plan to 'save' it in the bank and not in a sealed jar I'm not allowed? Thanks FF
