hi everyone it's been a busy few days in elantan land ...the mattress i ordered to try and help hubby's back arrived on friday it has a wet stain and dirty marks on it so i have complained and we re getting a new one in two to four weeks ...other than that thought things havnt changed much in the el household ...went out for a lovely meal last night with hubby and son we went to a british hotel at first but the service was terrible we stood around for 10 mins before anyone came and talked to us ....then when they did they took one look at how hubby was dressed (he wasnt smart we were out shopping and he decided he fancied trying some food in there (he looked lovely to me though) then he asked are you booked in to which we replied no sorry he said sorry we are fully booked ...now they probably were fully booked i dont for one think that it was because of the way hubby was dressed ...but he did look him up and down before he asked and hubby felt very self concious ....
so we went to a new chinese and it was delcious the service was very good the food delicious and we all enjoyed it immensley ...
just thought i would share lol0 -

thanks gemmz ...can i just ask ..do you feel they really work for you ? and if so how long before you notice a change? also and this is a bit personal (i understand if you dont want to answer) what symptoms do you have? i have the cant be !!!!!d with anyone just wanna sleep eating wrong dont wanna do anything or meet anyone ...infact you could say i just wanna haibernate..i dont feel down though i know that sounds strange but i really dont i just feel uggghhhh
Definitely, I don't have my alarm clock at the moment as it's blown an internal fuse (2 years of everyday use and apparently they can fix it for £20) and I'm lost without it. I honestly cannot get out of bed without it. It wakes me up so naturally and gently, without it I'm waking up constantly because my standard alarm clock gives me a heart attack and I'm afraid of hearing it so don't sleep properly.
Symptoms, I eat like a pig, crave carbs like they are going out of fashion, want to sleep all the time. It just feels like I haven't slept for months and I'm so moody and down it's ridiculous, typical depression symptoms. Definitely hibernation, and I'm so anti-social, I can't help it. I nearly lost one of my best friends over it a couple of years ago because I was constantly cancelling and didn't even realise it.
The worst symptom is the fog though (although this could be ME/CFS - they don't seem to be bothered enough to explore it). I honestly can't think. I left school just after I turned 16 as I was so sick and tired, it just hurt to be awake. Come March, I was raring to go and finished my GCSEs by myself, same with my A Levels and now the degree.
I don't think the lamps can solve the problem, but they are a definite step in the right direction and I swear I couldn't function without mine.
Sorry for the essay, didn't realise how much I'd rambled!

They are worth every penny, it's so unnatural for us to get up in the dark, you've only gotta look at history to see that.
It's more powerful to someone with SAD but I know of several people who just use them as an alternative alarm clock. No longer using this account for new posts from 20130 -

Actually, the make-up one isn't a glitch, the system knew all about it but since it was only today I guess they thought most people would miss it.No longer using this account for new posts from 20130
