Hey el just found your luvverly shiny new thread. Phew I feel tired just reading what you do, I am (nearly) speechless with admiration. You rock girl. Ted Hutchinson recommends a light for SAD that only costs about £20 from Screwfix. It isn't specifically for SAD but he reckons it does the job. Sorry can't do linky things, ( Yes Bob STILL can't !) but am sure if you searched the forums you could find his post. Thinking of buying one myself.

The cheap lights that pretend to be for SAD (like Avon's version) are awful. Their light intensity is set completely wrong and they're most likely to cause migraines not help with SAD.
You can't go wrong with Lumie, buy from Boots when the points offers are on and you can get between £20-£35 in points which softens the blow a bit. And they have a two year warrenty.

I have SAD and love my Lumie Advance alarm clock, I couldn't get up without it. I have a desk lamp too which is good for the worst times, but I'll warn you it is huge! The newer lights are smaller but more money.
