Dongle trouble!!

Hi there, writing this on behalf of a friend.
She has had a dongle and lately it's been connecting but wont load up webpages. So we took it back to 3 who said the first time it didnt have credit. We took it back again and they said it did. Today again we took it back he said it didnt have credit on it. So she took out a 12 month contract to get a new one and so she doesnt have to top it up.
It's not working?
She has good signal strength etc and theres just no explanation why it isnt working?
We are thinking its the laptop??
Anyone shed any light please?? Ill try my best to answer any questions about it

Don't the instructions say that it may take 24 hours to activate?

take it you have a: tried it in another usb port on the lappie or b: tried it in another pc0

i had the same problem you need to go into internet options on ie explorer and set ie to find your 3g modem it should have a name liok hpa(then some numbers) so internet options connection add modem and select the moded name for three and the port it in then apply it will work then also make sure your firewall is accepting the outgoing and incoming connection from te deviceReplies to posts are always welcome, If I have made a mistake in the post, I am human, tell me nicely and it will be corrected. No its not 24 hours.. and anyways its the same problem as all her other dongles.
She got connected last nite but we know in a few days it wont work.
Ill let you know how she gets on.
