  • Hi Lola,
No i have not heard of them however there is NO need to be paying anyone to help you with debt issues. You can get the same help for FREE from the debt charities namely CCCS or Payplan.
Please don't sign up to anything from fee paying companies which i suspect that Easy Debt Solutions are as they are merely making profit from your misery.
They will syphon off a percentage of your repayments to pay themselves this doesn't happen with the charities where ALL of your payments would go to clearing your debt and not lining the pockets of Easy Debt Solutions.

    Thanks hotchips

We've already signed with them, but to be honest I'm having second thoughts now.

They've been well advertised on local radio and initial set up was quite easy, but it's the lack of communication with them that worries me now. I know it's early days but as far as I know they haven't made any offer of payment to the companies and I'm finding it difficult to contact the person dealing with us.

We had quite a few cards and weren't confident about doing it ourselves.

Went to CAB in the past but they were wanting us to go the Trust Deed way, which at the time a few years ago we felt wasn't right for us and re-mortgaged with the bank (which put us in to a bigger hole), and now we are back to square one.

I'm hoping things work out ok but can't see us ever being able to pay this off now.

Thanks also to other 2 posters who answered me. Useless with wonga and RAS.

    Hiya Lola

Sorry to hear about your problems :(

Can you tell us what it is that you've signed up to? And can you also give us an idea of how much your debts are, and what you're going to be paying towards them? And (one of the biggies, I'm afraid) how much Easy Debt Solutions are taking in fees?

That will help the people here give you their thoughts on what you could do, and what your options are for getting out of your arrangement with Easy Debt solutions (if that's what you want to do, of course).

  • Hi Lola23,

I searched online for some details on easy debt solutions and found this post which I read and began to have my own doubts on this agency. I decided to sign up and reply (which hopefully you have a chance to read) as I have applied to them as well.

I decided to go with them seeing as they were all over the radio and very easy to deal with. I recieved the pack today and i'm shocked..the outgoings I confirmed with the agent I spoke to are completely different and of a £196 monthly income, I'm paying out £100. I'd like to note after reading the small print a few shocking points:

    Definition of terms:

    "Initial fee" -
means your first monthly payment which is paid to us by you as an initial fee for our services and which is not used to pay your creditors. (this means i'd be paying £100 for the pleasure of signing up?!)

    2. What we will do

2.2 I won't transcribe the whole text as it's quite lengthy but essentially when you pay the initial fee, this does not guarantee your creditors will accept OR HAVE EVEN BEEN CONTACTED!

I'm phoning them to cancel it straight away tomorrow and contacting CCCS.

'Sharks' is the only term I can think of to describe them

Hope you manage to get something better sorted because it really does not seem worth it

    =)
