How to delete a chart in Excel

Is there an easy way to delete a chart from Excel? There is not an obvious way!

    So is clicking on the chart and then pressing the Delete key not obvious then?

    You click on the chart box so its selected, and then press delete

    That does not work!

    Anyway I have solved the problem because I have cut it from the sheet and pasted into a new one then deleted the whole thing!

    i believe you have to hold down control to select the chart first.

    I guess it may depend on which version of Excel you are using. I use 2007, and I can assure you that you only need to click in the chart to select it, and once you´ve done that you can delete it. I did test it before I posted just to make sure it worked.
