I have a virus/trojan/spyware or possibly all of the above.

I will do the things that you have suggested. If it was you would you now be happy to do internet banking and the like or is there anything else is should check first. Obviously i i know u cannot gaurantee anything etc but i would value your opinion as this things made me a little paranoid especially looking at all crap the programmes that have been suggested on here have dug up.

Id recommend SPYWARE BLASTER

It doesnt SCAN or anything like that, it actually PREVENTS certain nasties from infecting at the source

UPDATE, IMMUNISE (similar to spyware blaster function) and SCAN

With PC TOOLS firewall, AVAST and SUPER ANTI SPYWARE also running, id say your good to go (Once youve installed service pack 3)

Sweet. I just need spyware blaster, firewall and service pack 3 then, i've got the others now. Christ alive there's a lot of stuff you need to run, no wonder my comp was riddled with all sorts of rubbish.
