Hi all
Hope I'm posting in the right area
Years ago I used Quicken for personal finances and found it easy to use and very helpful. We need to start tracking our finances this way again but not sure what we should go for. If you can give me any advice I would appreciate it.
Have seen on Amazon that Quicken 2009 for Windows Essential is being released on 5th dec but there's not discription at all and I wonder if the 'PC DVD' means it's just a training video?
Cheers!

I have looked at lots of "free" ones, and they are all rubbish, not very easy to use. I settled with microsoft money, but even then, you have to switch to advanced view for the billing section to be able to do the most simple tasks!0

Gnucash is Free and Open Source. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GnuCash
If you use Microsoft Windows, there's also a portable version you can run off a USB key instead of installing it: http://portableapps.com/apps/office/gnucash_portablePlease use OpenDocument (ISO 26300) format (.odt - .ods - .odp - .odg) for attachments0 -

We use Moneydance. It's not free but it is pretty cheap and very good.0
