Where to find the prices?

I have a few things I wanna sell but don't know the value of them, Where can I get this done quickly and easily online? I have tried Ebay but can't find anything similar to the items I have and I am no expert!

Please can someone help?

    What type of things?

    New or Old?

    If old you could try some of the auction house sites see if they have sold any.

    Do your google searches.

    Try Ebay.com

    Get them valued.

    Or trust the market on Ebay.

    But give us a clue?

    old things...porcelain etc...I have plates, ornaments ...some I can date to before 1950 but am not sure who they are made by and how much they are worth etc! I have tried ebay but no luck on any items...also tried google! I don't wanna take them along to a valuer cos most of them charge and I don't wanna look silly if it is tat!
