Email Links take ages to Load

Something seems to have changed with my PC in that now, when I click a link in an email, it takes about 1.5 to 2 mins before the page loads. A lot of this time the PC is locked for use.

Anyone advise what could be causing this?

Its been found to sort 9 out of 10 problems

So its easiest to have the OP run a scan THEN we take from there, rather than go right round the block to find the machines infected

^was only said in jest: I must try it out sometime, as u mention it a lot when it comes to troubleshooting. is the scan time reasonably fast (unlike, say, spybot):)

Quick scans pretty quick, but in all fairness im not sure how long, I always leave it running whilst I watch tv or whatever

I've been having loads of trouble with my email. i'm with virgin./telewest.
All it was my trash bin was overflowing Check to see what happens when you clear it.
