Another ridiculous boiler raplacement quote from British Gas

Remove existing boiler and replace with BG conventional boiler up to 18kw. Same location, no major building work or flu re-routing required. Powerflush existing system but no new radiators or valves needed.

£3,752.28

Living in Edinburgh might have something to do with it, but even so this seems ridiculously high to me.

Any and all comments / suggestions welcome.

I have just had a quote from SSE for replacing my GloWorm boiler with a Valiant Combi boiler.

£4400

That does include cost to move the boiler to a different room, albeit directly above where it is now, new valves, flush system, 1 new (small) radiator.

Seems a bit extortionate to me.

Should I do it?

Good morning: You both need to get more quotes...try independent RGIs and compare quotes like for like specification.
