i switched to powergen in january 2005 for dual fuel and am well happy with the bills but when i looked(just curious )the comparison sites said i could save £1 but i did notice that there are two dates for online dual fuel and i believe am on the better rate which is not now available.0

Nobody can answer that question from the information you have given. It depends on:
Your geographic location.
Your consumption of gas and electricity.
Current tariff and proposed tariff (E7, On-line, Pre-payment, Direct Debit etc etc)
It is often better to get Electricity from one company and gas from another. The incentives for dual fuel from the same company are sometimes not enough to make staying with a single company viable.
There is no substitute for finding out your consumption in units(kWhs) and then checking which each company charges.
Then when you have worked it all out, you have to get out your crystal ball and predict when, and by how much, the companies will raise their tariffs.0 -
Sorry, that's me trying to keep it brief. I have done my sums with various price comparitors and they are the two that come out best. I am now keen to know more about their service levels. I have read lots of adverse stuff on Powergen but can't find much on Atlantic, any experiences or where to find this info would much appreciated. Thank you.0
