You don't always get NCB even though you didn't claim on your car insurance!!!!!

Maybe it is, but it stands to reason if you spend your life looking for the cheapest of everything, imagining that it will also be the best, then you're bound to get your fingers burnt at some point. More people should be willing to spend time and/or money on finding quality.0

deserved? lol a little harsh!!
Personally I would not have changed insurer for Tenner... I know this is MSE, but sometimes its not worth the hassle. Seems this was one of those times.
Very interesting to know tho......not something i have heard of before. :money:0 -

I posted to make others aware and to pass this info on!
btw, I didn't swap companies for the sake of a tenner, I shopped around because my renewal quote was a lot more expensive than I was hoping for, Lancaster was about a tenner cheaper than the 2nd lowest price insurer and not the company I was currently with at the time.
And OK 'QUOTE' whoever you are, I deserve everything! And yes I learn by my mistakes, just don't want others to make this same mistake :A0 -
Something doesn't sound quite right here - I'd have another go through the documents if I were you.
For starters, pretty much all classic policies I'm aware of require you to have another car, so they're not normally applicable to people who only have a single car. The other part is the age of the vehicle - even most modern classic policies normally require the car to be at least 10 years old IIRC.
That said, Lancaster is a classic car insurance specialist...0 -
