Keep getting logged out of MSE..

For a while I was getting logged out of MSE for no reason at all then I thought it was fixed as I could actually stay logged on for longer than 5 mins. But I have noticed it is doing it again - has been doing it for at least a week I would say, could be more I tend to lose track of days.

It even happens when I open a new post, in a new tab as well, I find I am logged out.

I have tried clicking remember me but that doesn't have any effect, I have even enabled cookies to never expire in my browser settings yet that doesn't work either. I have tried it in FF and IE7 and still it won't keep me logged on. I am having to literally highlight and copy everything as I am posting in case it logs me out while I am hitting enter.

I'm not sure if it's my laptop, Vista or a Windows update or if there is anything wrong with the actual log on facilty but it is driving me barmy.

Hi Natty68,

This used to happen to me but was cured by hitting the 'remember me' button. I e.mailed the technical help on site and they advised me. Try contacting them (bottom of front page)

no probs; hmmm, strange :think: yeah, good idea what poster above suggested. just have a look if there are any exclusions in 'cookies' with mse site (doubt it though).
