Buying shares as a high tax payer

Options
I want to buy some shares in a company I know will make money (how many times have you heard that one !)

I've never brought any before, but as a high tax payer I am worried about this capital gains tax thing.

I only want to buy £200 worth and I hope to make a few hundread back. It it worthwhile trying to do this via an ISA ?

Any share dealing basic tips I should read

£200 would have to grow by over £7000 (not including other gains in the same tax year as you sell) before you need to worry about capital gains tax. You will have to pay higher rate tax on the dividends but again, £200 of share is hardly worth the worry and almost certainly not worth the cost of using a self select ISA.
