There first excuse was i had to spend £200 before earnig cash back so i continued to shop...
A few years later and after filling out requests for cash back heard nothing.
I contacted them again and they said im not entitled due to my account being restarted ( i never ended it and left the account in credit in this time)
I then ordered a washing, sat nav, clothes and shoes etc and still no cashback. I spoke to numerous people at littlewoods and they saent me out another request for as they agreed i did not restart my account and guess what ??? yes i got another letter from Carol Bruce saying i was not entitled to cashback.....????
After a very long phone-call i was told i was restarted due to me having an old legacy account and they had no reolection of any orders prior to the 22/11/2007 how convinient.....
Since then they now say they stopped giving cashback on new accounts as from 1/7/2006..... is there any who is good at maths here ????? lol
Then they went on to say my account was last active on the 18th may 2007 and restarted on the 9th nov 2007.... is it me or is that not quite 6 months and when not active for 6 months the account is not active ( i left it in credit ???) how can they end an account when left in credit ????
Is there anyone out there who can give me legal advice please,
cheers all Nidge
I had the problem of Littlewood taking my cashback away from me early last year. When I phoned to query it, the CA couldn't understand why it had been removed, but suggested I fill out a Cashback Application form which she sent me. I did this, explaining I previously earned cashback and that it had been removed from my account and could it be re-instated. Got a letter back explaining they were changing the way cashback was being awarded, and it was no longer being awarded on sale items, balance payments under £10 etc - which they claimed all my purchases were sale items - they weren't.
So, I really just left it at that - couldn't really be bothered challenging it tbh. Then last month I received my statement and my cashback has mysteriously appeared again - certainly not complaining, as I've been making quite high minimum monthly payments. Hope they don't remove it again - I've been a customer for 14 years , they just upped my credit limit to £10,000 (as if I would  ), and was going to be cancelling once I'd paid it all off, they might just hang on to me abit longer.
Sorry don't know how you'll stand challenging them, I felt I was banging my head against a brick wall with them!2017 - no clutter to be seen challenge: 72/2017

I would never buy anything from Littlewoods again, I would rather save the money and buy what I need.0 -
my mum has a littlewoods catalogue and it works out good for us, i use it too. I get to order things on buy now pay next year and start paying it just now so by the time its added to her account its paid off.
Generally i notice things are a bit dearer but then i get to pay it up over 20/52 weeks on BNPL and by the time the comission is paid back it works out the same.would love to win an ipad!

I won't be now - unless it's a hugely reduced sale item. But, I often get orders from family members, so I'll let them spend while I benefit from the commission.

I've been using Littlewoods mail order catalogue since 1985. My cashback no longer appeared on my statments around the summer of 2008. Not happy about this as I was not notified in advance of any change in the way cashback is earned.0
