Quotes for march out cleaning

Was wondering if we could start a thread so I can gauge a rough estimate for a price for march out cleaning of quarters.
When we moved from Marham we were charged £80 for a 2 bed, I have now just been quoted £285 for a 3 bed at Wyton.
I'm really tempted just to do it myself rather than payout.
Anybody got any other quotes to compare or know any good cleaners in Huntingdon area that will pass the march out and not charge the earth.
Thx

Im not sure about the area your in but iv just been marched out of a quarter at scampton and was quoted £300 off an independant cleaner, we couldnt afford this but decied to get DE to charge us for the cleaning and this came in cheaper than getting a company in.Running Club5KM - 25:20(51.21%) 10KM - 53:40(50.26%)1/2 Marathon - 2.14.57(44.20%)Marathon 5:11:00 (40.78%)0

£250 is about right for a 3 bed in East Anglia. For that I would want the company to guarantee move in standard. DE are on a 'charge every penny' drive, so a full cooker clean is £87. An on demand clean for the whole house (Type C) is around £300 IIRC, plus DE's percentage + DE admin fee of £12.50. So the total would be £350 ish, plus any excessive wear to carpets or a carpet steam clean.Praying at the church of MSE should be compulsory!

You say you couldnt afford it?
Thats what you get disturbance allowance (just shy of a grand) for.0 -
Well we did it ourselves in the end, it wasn't bad.
We bought a carpet cleaner for around 100 pounds, so we always have one now!
The march out was fine, not that strict at all. Glad I didn't pay someone to do it now.
Thanks for all the replies.0 -
Paid 240 pounds for a 3 bed semi in Bulford. Guaranteed march out and it was a great job. There's no way I could have cleaned outside upstairs windows, cooker and other nasties and got it to the same standard. Fair price for 2-3 days hard graft and materials.0

The quote sounds about right (if it includes the cooker) and is close to the payments we made for our last 2 moves. For a range of quotes try the Hive who often have a list of companies you could call or the local shop notice board.
I'd always rather pay, moving is enough hassle and if there's delays or problems with the move it's a relief to know the quarter I'm leaving miles away will pass the march out.0 -
Unless we don't have time to do it in the future, we have decided to do it ourselves as you are not going to get billed the price you pay a cleaner, not unless your cleaning is that bad.0
