work from home

Options
Hi
i've recentley been on afew work from home websites that sound good. They say that you can work from home and earn money for the amount of work you do. Thats ideal for me as i have a 15 month old baby. A friend however said that it sounds like a scam.
i would appricate any advice as to how reliable these sights are and if there is a partiular one that someone could recomend!
thanx

if the site asks for money up front then its almost 100% a scam

  • Like Browntoa said, if it asks for money but you don't get anything except 'information' usually is a scam.

I paid £38 to a party plan company but I got a kit with over £100 worth of stuff in it and we get free training from the company too. Nowadays I put in about 20 hours a week but at first it was less. Try looking at the direct sales website http://www.dsa.org.uk/ it might help you get some idea.

Don't be fooled into thinking working from home is an easy option though!
  • i'm in the same situation - 2.5 year old and baby due in march.
i applied to teletech but didn't realise it was a 20hr minimum week, so had to drop that one.
lionbridge aren't recruiting at the moment.

does anyone know of any other support services??

i've just got my head round matched betting which seems quite interesting - i think i'll try a virtual run on that one - there's something about betting which feels wrong. if i tell my other half that i'm making extra cash by matched betting he'll probably think i'm gambling.

it takes time to understand it and not everyone will get it, especially when you say 'betting'.

stoozing is another method to get your brains round - i guess you could stooze and get your initial matched betting money, so then you wouldn't have to dig into your pocket!

just out of interest are there any other girls/mums doing matched betting?

    anyone got any other ideas?

    kel
  • I have not managed to get my head around matched betting - as its sounds quite interesting Im going read more on that forum.
Like Caroline said - party plan is ideal for working mothers as you work when suits you and you also get to meet lots of great people you wouldn't normally meet - Ive been doing it now for nearly 2 years and got a whole new circle of friends.
    I get paid to party!:rotfl:
