Today, we had a glorious day gardening in the lovely sunshine. The children planted sunflowers, assorted vegetable and flower seeds. My mum came around bringing free plants and several cakes. So some yummy freebies for us today and lovely free plants :rotfl:

The best thing today, was discovering that a pair of blue tits are nesting in our nest box which has been empty on the side of our house for the last 3 years. We usually have blackbirds nesting in our hedges, slow worms, baby hedgehogs and bats but never birds using our nest box before.

I was just putting the rubbish out and a (very good looking!!!) man wandered up my driveway dressed in red with an old fashioned pie seller tray around his neck. He gave me a box of 2 Mr Kipling Apple Pies, a fridge magnet and 2 x25p off vouchers!!

I just wish I wasn't standing there in my scruffy slobbing cleaning clothes - he was scrummy (as is the apple pie I'm munching now!)
