Abbey First Home Saver - anyone opened one?

I know there's a thread announcing the launch of this account, but I wanted to find out if anyone had opened one yet.
I'm tempted, but am torn between applying now and risking the rate going down, or not applying and missing out completely. It seems like a good place to stash £5k+ though...
I was in an Abbey branch yesterday opening a current account and forgot to ask about this! Oh well, at least I have a week to think about it - if it's still available on Saturday I'll go in and ask about it.

I opened one of these a few weeks ago. Opened the account okay but the adviser from abbey didn't verify it properly initially which caused a few problems, this is all sorted now though. Will be transfering money into it this week so hopefully that will work okay. The rate has now been dropped to 6.5%.0
