Bank charge is it right?

Was charged £25 fee for them to review a Direct Debit as it took me over the arranged overdraft limit.
Now they seem to pay all the direct debits at one minute past midnight but my wages went in at banking opening times.
I checked my account in the morning at 6am and it showed overdrawn (paid DB) checked again after during banks open time and it was back in the black due to wages going in.
The statement now shows no minus amounts, shows the wage 1st and then the direct debits going out after but still shows a bank charge.
is this right?, sorry to be so long winded.

Try to get the DD dates changed.0 -
that doesnt sound right to me, i would query that with the bank.
if they are going to be a pain about it, what about chaning your dd's so that they come out a couple of days after you get paid?Debt free 3 years early :j

really stuck with the DB's, can not move then past the 28th, wages paid in on the 28th.
The only way around this is to leave money in the account, will be like paying the DB's twice one month but i do not have spare funds for this.
I am going to open up the abbey account for the £100 bonus stuff the A&L, I guess they are the same company, doh but £100 is £100.Google gives you answers use it.........0 -
Are you with HSBC? Or are you actually with A&L?0

If it's A&L that charged you, then presumably you agreed to their T&Cs, which require you to have sufficient funds in your account by the end of the working day before they are needed?
