I'd just send it back, say it keeps switching off in the middle of filming or something. Ask for it to be creditted back to your account (if you have one) or refunded and then re-order it at the lower price.

i bought 25 days ago a camcorder from littlewoods direct, in there november promotion, and got £50 off, so it was £279, today in the same promotion, it is now £199. i feel really annoyed that i bought this in a promotion where you expect to get the best deal offered to you, (not in a sale where you would presume everything eventually to go down even further). ifeel this was a bit naughty of littlewoods can they do this, in this type of promotion?

Would you go back and demand to pay the higher price if it had increased?
    Thought not.

wow a mind reader, you didnt even give me chance to answer the question!
i have worked in retail for about 20 years, and the last few years, the shops i have worked in (large highstreet stores) most would offer a refund and let you rebuy it, as customer service and goodwill, especially around christmas timewhen things are going down in sales etc.

    That wouldn't be money saving.

  • I sympathise with your frustration..... but technology has a tendency to go down in price.... and coupled with the increasing credit crunch / Christmas discounts, together with the VAT drop.... your timing was unfortunate to say the least. Getting the best deal at the time (I guess you were pleased then) ....might be your only consolation. That, and having whatever it is that you recorded during October / November.....

    That's the point

People always whinge and complain that they have been hard done by just because a company dropped the price of an item that they purchased a month ago, well tough! That's life and all that, get used to it.

Exactly my point. Shrug your shoulders, put it down to experience and get on with your life. Nobody has been robbed or cheated, it happens.
